Settings : Enabling KDS

Article Contents: In this video tutorial, we guide you through the Kitchen Display System (KDS) option within the Club Caddie software. Below are the key points covered.

Step-By-Step:

Step 1: To access the KDS settings, log in to the software, go to "Settings," select "Register Settings," and click on the "KDS" tab.

Step 2: The KDS feature allows servers to select items they want to send to the kitchen, enabling them to spread courses out rather than sending all items at once or entering items later and sending them to the kitchen at a later time.

Step 3: Orders placed through the KDS feature appear on the KDS screen in the kitchen, which can be accessed by logging into clubcaddie.online using the same credentials as the Club Caddie software login.

Step 4: When placing an order, servers can choose to send all items or just specific items to the kitchen.

Step 5: The KDS display includes a timer set for 15 minutes by default, which helps kitchen staff manage their time and ensure prompt food preparation. Preparation times can be set in the Inventory Center or under global settings within the register settings.

Step 6: Once an order is ready, kitchen staff can click "Push" to remove it from the KDS, indicating that it's ready for the server to deliver to the customer.

Step 7: The KDS keeps a history of orders, allowing for easy reference if needed.

Step 8: If an order exceeds the 15-minute preparation time, it will turn red on the KDS, indicating it's overdue.

Step 9: The KDS feature aims to make the order management process smoother and more efficient, whether using a monitor in the kitchen or a kitchen printer.
